Operation Write Home Memorial Day Bloghop!

Hey everyone. I have been making cards for Operation Write Home for a little while now. Unfortunately, I think my first set of cards got lost in the mail and I wasn't sure if I wanted to make anymore but I thought about it and OWH is such a good cause that I have to make some more. And it just so happens that OWH is having a Memorial Day Bloghop and I decided to join it. Yeah! For the Hop, participants have to create a card using a sketch from their website. I used random.org to choose one of their sketches and it came up with #60. The sketch I chose looks like this:

Another requirement for the Bloghop is to make a "Thank You" card. Luckily, there is the perfect amount of squares in this sketch for the sentiment and an embellishment. This is what I came up with:
It's a very simple card. I used EK Success stickers for the sentiment, made a flower out of white cardstock that I dye with Tea Dye distress ink and placed a rhinestone in the center. For an added touch, I added some rhinestones in the corner too. I hope you like this card and have fun on the hop. TTFN Ta ta for now.

  70. Wow, picking your sketch by random? YOU are my hero :) lol...Great job! The stickers are totally perfect on the small squares. I am so sorry that you lost some cards - I think USPS needs a complete 're-make'. We've had things lost, as well, one item being a package for our daughter, from her husband, while in Afghanistan. It was his first correspondence with her, and she was crushed when all she got was an empty envelope with an apology letter from USPS for losing the contents. Thanks for keeping on with your cards for OWH - what a great cause!
