Book(s) read since last update: Daughter of the Pirate King
Number of pages read since last update: 125pgs
Total pages read during read-a-thon: 493pgs; 2hrs. 25mins.
Books finished: 1
Comments/reviews: I haven't updated in a while since I was sleeping. I read half of Daughter of the Pirate King in the last 3 hours of the Readathon. Had a lot of fun despite bring tired and reading a book that was too big for reading during a readathon. Looking forward to the next one already.
Mini challenges:

End Survey
1. Which hour was most daunting for you? The first few were because I was really tired.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a reader engaged for next year? Daughter of the Pirate King was good. Lot of action, some romance, and its a pretty short book. Also Dear America books. Also short and interesting.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next season? Maybe have a couple reading challenges like choosing a book with a certain theme or word in title. Or a word search.
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? The mini challenges were good and I liked the Instagram challenges too.
5. How many books did you read? Finished 1 and read 3
6. What were the names of the books you read? Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas, Separated @ Birth by Anais Border and Samantha Futerman, So Far From Home by Barry Denenberg, and Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
7. Which book did you enjoy most? Daughter of the Pirate King
8. Which did you enjoy least? Heir of Fire because the action was too slow to start and I got really bored with it.
9. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? Extremely likely. I'll be sure to pick up only smaller books next time.

Readathon TBR!

It is finally Deweys 25 Hour Readathon time! Seems like its been ages and I can't wait to do it again.  As always, I have gotten my books together for the readathon and I am going to share them with you.

Every readathon I choose a main book to read that is longer so I feel accomplished when I read a lot of it. 😊  This time around, that book will be Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. This is the third book in the Throne of Glass series and from what I hear it introduces some pretty amazing characters.

I also like to read a Dear America book since they are small and I have tons of them. I picked So Far From Home which is about and Irish mill girl in 1847 Massachusetts. I'm sure I read this when I was young but I don't remember the story.

I also decided to include another short book since I have so many books in my TBR pile. I got Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller in my March OwlCrate so I'm going to try to read some of that on Saturday. I'm currently reading Caraval by Stephanie Garner which I got in my February OwlCrate. Maybe I can get up to this months crate book in one week. 😏

There's my TBR. I haven't decided on an audiobook yet so I'll either post an update with the title or surprise on Saturday. Come back here Friday to see how well I do during the readathon and also check out my Instagram @sammylouise40 for my bookish photos. TTFN ta ta for now.
