Financial Aid

Spent the day applying for scholarships. Yeah. One of the scholarships is
Frame My Future Scholarship Contest - Click here to go to framemyfuture.com and find out about $6,000 in scholarship awards!
. I can't wait to work on this. It will be fun. I like the project scholarships better since they involve more than just filing a application. Better get to work on my scholarships. Wish me luck that they will pay for my school. TTFN Ta-ta for now.

Placement Test Complete!

On November 16th, I took the placement test for JCC. It was easier than I thought. I can take regular classes for math and English. I also don't have to take any reading classes. Yeah! The only problem I had on test day was getting to and from the test. I had help getting to the room by a campus cleaning lady but coming out I got lost. I was scared. It was dark, rainy, and I had no idea where I was and nothing looked familiar. It felt like I was in a labyrinth. My mom eventually found me and got me home. Phew! This Sunday I will be going on a campus tour so this won't be happening again. After that, classes begin in January. :)

The Magic Blanket

A strange thing happened today with my mom's blanket. This is a blanket that is two pieces of fleece fabric tied together. My mom had was the blanket and placed in the dryer. When she pulled the blanket out, it had a big bump in it. She then realized that all the clothes from the dryer were missing. They were inside that blanket!  The blanket was also all scrunched up and hard to get into. It had to be cut open to get the clothes out. When we finally got the blanket straight, it was inside out. We pulled the clothes out of the blanket and tried to find out how this happened. We could not find any holes in the blanket that was big enough to fit our hand in let alone sweaters. Spooky, huh? TTFN ta ta for now.

Lousy Buses!

Had to go to town today to finalize the paperwork to babysit for my sister. Bus was late to pick me up in the village. I got up town, did what needed doing but the bus was not scheduled to come for another half an hour. Wandered around town wanting for the bus. When the time finally came, I saw the bus but he had his turning signal on. I went to catch the bus and he drove straight!! Needless to say, I missed the bus and saved 2 bucks. Then Corey was late getting here because he went to his cousins' house. I was not happy since he was half an hour late. Right now I am listening to podcasts and playing Frontierville. Anyone else play Frontierville? I finally finished my Sunflower quest. Now I am trying to finish my toll booth. TTFN Ta ta for now.

JCC Here I Come!

Today was a pretty busy day. I had to go uptown to finishing applying for Medicaid. Now I can get sick and not have to worry about the bill. When I got home, I saw that I had received something in the mail from JCC. It was my acceptance letter. Whoo hoo! I'll be starting in January. I'll be taking the placement test in 12 days. The letter says Medical Office Technology is my major but I will change that when I register as per what was told to me by the admission office. My major will be Biotechnology. The letter says Medical Office Technology but I will change that when I register as per what was told to me by the admission office. I sure hope I don't have to dissect something cute. I also babysat Gavin today instead of  Corey and Kyle since their mother didn't work today. Tomorrow is a half a school day and cleaning day! Hopefully I will have a couple of little workers named Fin and Gav. Since it will be Friday, Terrell and Trenton will be coming too. Fun times. TTFN Ta ta for now.

Election Day

Today, I got my vote on! I wasn't going to vote but I had two nephews who needed to follow someone into the voting booth for school and their parents are aren't registered voters. At least I don't think they are. I was actually asked "You are a registered voter." Trenton was quick to tell them that I am 24 years old. I saw the results of the election and we did pretty good with our votes. We elected 9 out of 14 people. We even voted for someone because Trenton liked their name. They actually won too! Good choice there, Trenton. I started reading "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". I have been wanting to read it all summer and just borrowed it from the library. That's it for now. TTFN Ta ta for now.

Degu Cage

I've been looking into the best degu cage since the girls need a new cage. I decided to take some picks of their current cage and tell a little about it and what's wrong with it. What they are in is Nathaniel's old hand-me-down cage that I put them in when Nathaniel got a bigger cage. In their cage they have a water bottle that is easy to take off and on and does not fall off. Thats the blue thing on the left. The have a big bowl for hay and a small bowl for food. They have the space pod on the top since they like to jump around a lot. They have two hide-aways. One is big, which is the one they sleep in the most and the other is smaller. One girl goes in their to eat or to just get
away from her sister. They also have 2 wheels: a flying saucer and a silent spinner. They have two since they were always fighting over the one. They fight over everything. What you can't see in the picture is the salt wheel which is currently orange and heart shaped. I just recently noticed that they eat it. I thought they only sat on it. They also have a Chinchiller that holds the two wheels down so they don't move them all over the place. They like to move them right up to the hide-aways so that when they spin they hit the wood and make a lot of noise. Why they need a new cage is because Nathaniel use to chew on the plastic parts so it doesn't stay together very well. I can't give them Nathaniels bigger cage because it has a wire bottom and they need a solid bottom to nest on. In the picture you can see one little face in the bigger hide-away. That's probably Eve since Giselle likes to stay out of sight a lot. Hopefully soon the girls will have a new and bigger cage. The cage I have been looking at for them is the My First Home for Exotics. I would have to take out the wheel since they need two wheels to avoid fights but this is a great cage for them and huge! They would have tons of room. If I do get it for them, I'll take some pics and show you how my girls decorated it. TTFN Ta ta for now.

New Day

Today was a new day. Unfortunately it was without my Nathaniel. I babysat Corey and Kyle today. Kyle was pretty naughty and Terrell was here to help me. There are just 15 more days until my JCC Placement test. I must say that I do not miss taking tests. TTFN Ta ta for now.
