Merry Christmas

Merry belated Christmas. I had a good Christmas that was spent with family. I watched the new Doctor Who special last night too. Today my mom and I watched our Christmas movie. We went to see Little Fockers but it was sold out. We saw Tron instead. It was pretty good. I used my new boots that are awesome! They are platforms so I have to get use to being so tall when I wear them. Thats it for today. TTFN ta ta for now

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes

I would like to announce another new change in my life. I have been looking for a religion that fits me for quite a while now because Christianity just does not fit me well. I have discovered Wicca and after doing some research and soul searching have decided that this is right for me. It fits me very well since I feel very close to nature (except spiders) and have always been into witchcraft and such. With Wicca I can still celebrate holidays too. There are even some new holidays that I can celebrate. The next Wiccan sabbat is Yule on December 21st to celebrate the Winter Solstice. I am unable to make an altar since I am unprepared for it however I will be setting up and altar for Imbolc which is February 2nd. This sabbat is in honor of Brighid, the Goddess of Fire. It is also to celebrate that we are halfway through winter and spring will be coming soon. We will soon have new life growing in nature once Imbolc comes! When it gets closer to Imbolc I will post pictures of my altar. Well, Ta ta for now.

Christmas is Coming!

Big last couple of days. I have a new babysitting charge. My sisters middle son now comes everyday now. He's been pretty good but his younger brother has been a little rowdy since he started coming. I also set up the Christmas tree. It's very cute. Today I got my first paycheck for babysitting. Now I can get Christmas presents. Yeah! I also got some papers from JCC. I have advisement on January 13th. Yeah. Corey has a project on Haiti that he needs to work on now. TTFN Ta ta for now.

Financial Aid

Spent the day applying for scholarships. Yeah. One of the scholarships is
Frame My Future Scholarship Contest - Click here to go to framemyfuture.com and find out about $6,000 in scholarship awards!
. I can't wait to work on this. It will be fun. I like the project scholarships better since they involve more than just filing a application. Better get to work on my scholarships. Wish me luck that they will pay for my school. TTFN Ta-ta for now.

Placement Test Complete!

On November 16th, I took the placement test for JCC. It was easier than I thought. I can take regular classes for math and English. I also don't have to take any reading classes. Yeah! The only problem I had on test day was getting to and from the test. I had help getting to the room by a campus cleaning lady but coming out I got lost. I was scared. It was dark, rainy, and I had no idea where I was and nothing looked familiar. It felt like I was in a labyrinth. My mom eventually found me and got me home. Phew! This Sunday I will be going on a campus tour so this won't be happening again. After that, classes begin in January. :)

The Magic Blanket

A strange thing happened today with my mom's blanket. This is a blanket that is two pieces of fleece fabric tied together. My mom had was the blanket and placed in the dryer. When she pulled the blanket out, it had a big bump in it. She then realized that all the clothes from the dryer were missing. They were inside that blanket!  The blanket was also all scrunched up and hard to get into. It had to be cut open to get the clothes out. When we finally got the blanket straight, it was inside out. We pulled the clothes out of the blanket and tried to find out how this happened. We could not find any holes in the blanket that was big enough to fit our hand in let alone sweaters. Spooky, huh? TTFN ta ta for now.
