Halloween Clay

Hey everyone. It's another Clay Wednesday and I have the last of the Halloween crafts to share. I'm glad I'm finally done with everything. Now I just need to package everything up and ship it to my partner. Here are some snapshots of what I made.

Now that I'm done with everything for this swap, I'll take photos of everything and you'll see everything in October when my partner and I open everything. I'll post a photo of everything when I get it packaged up and then post my package when I get it. Super excited to start opening my presents when I get them. I'll be back tomorrow with Scrapbook Thursday. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

More Halloween

Hey everyone. I have some more swap stuff to share. I have been working for the past week on the Halloween swap so I have three more things to share hints for. Since I can't give away what they are yet, this may be very short. I'll just share the photos. I'll be sure to share photos of everything as my partner opens them. Here are the snapshots of everything.

That's it. I have two more things to make for this swap and then I can't work on my next big swap which is a Big Bang Theory themed swap. I'll be back tomorrow with some clay pieces. Until next then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Kiddie and Pretty Cards

Hey everyone and welcome to another OWH Monday. I have another two cards to share with you. I have used this weeks OWH sketch for both cards so no sketch that I made this week. I did do a Midweek Throwdown card though so I will start with that one.

This weeks Midweek Throwdown is to make a card for kids. Here is mine:

For this card, I used red and blue cardstock for the background and the bottom rectangle. I also used DCWV's All About Boys mini stack for the strip and the top rectangle. I stamped Happy Birthday using my Bo Bunny stamp set and then tied navy blue ribbon around the cardstock. I thought there was too much space around the sentiment so I drew some wonky lines around it.

The second card I made is just using Sketch #187. Here it is:

This card is much prettier. I wanted to try making cards that are totally different using the same sketch. I used My Minds Eye's Moments 6x6 stack for the background, pink card stock for the top rectangle and white cardstock for the banner. I also used DCWV patterned paper for the bottom rectangle and tied some light pink ribbon around it. I used JustRite Clear stamps for the sentiment.
I hope you liked these two cards I made. I'll be back tomorrow with some swaps. I have most of the Halloween swap to show so I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see them. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Lily Dale!

Hey everyone and welcome to another Mini Book Friday. I'm going to share two more pages from my holiday art journal today along with some extra goodies. Onto the pages:

My first page is the page for my birthday. I think my birthday is a holiday. A few of the pages in my book are not actually holidays. They are sometimes pages about important events in my life so I of course had to add my birthday. I painted the background pink and added black stripes since my favorite color combo is pink and black. I stamped the Happy Birthday with my Bo Bunny stamps and wrote "To Me!" underneath it. I also used some bubble wrap to add some cool effects since I've wanted to try that for a while and this page is suppose to be about me so why not. I also used my glitter glues to add the dots (one of my favorite embellishments) and added some doodles around the glitter glue. Lastly is the date stamp above a doodle on the right page.

The next page is my new favorite page that I've made. It's to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. For the background, I Modge Podged some green tissue paper on the page. I also stamped and embossed two clover images using green glitter powder but they are really hard to see. I also stamped a quote using the only St. Patty's day stamp I have and then outlined it with some gold wire. I thought it would be cool to have a pot of gold on the page so I painted that and added some glitter glue to the gold to make it sparkle like real gold. And you can't find a pot of gold without a rainbow to lead you to it so I painted a rainbow coming out of the pot of gold. I also wanted to add a leprechaun to the page so I printed a digital stamp out, colored him in, added a clover to his hand (the stem of the clover is green twine), and made him look like he is doing a jig on the rainbow. My date stamp is along the bottom of the rainbow.
Now that I have shared my pages with you I can share my pictures from my trip today. I went to Lily Dale again today and took a few picture. I forgot to take picture during most of the trip so I took a few when we were close to leaving. Hopefully we go again and I remember to take more photos. Here are the photos that I took.

The first three are of a fountain right outside of where I ate.

The other two photos I have are from the Sunflower Cafe, where I ate. They have the best onion rings ever!

That is all the photos and pages I have to share with you today. I hope you enjoyed everything. I'll be back on Monday with some more OWH cards. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Degu Love

Hey everyone. It's Scrapbook Thursday! I have a page to share with you today that I made of my twins. Here it is:

My twins are my degus. This page is one of my favorite pages I've ever made. It might be my actual favorite cause I just love the way it came out. The bottom layer of this page is actually the brown cardstock and I took a piece of DCWV patterned paper, ripped it to make it fit and then inked the rough edges with pink ink. I put a picture of them on the brown along with a strip of ribbon and some flowers held together with a brad. For the journaling, I printed off the definition of a degu (and inked it with pink ink) since people are always asking me what a degu is and then I also printed their names on brown cardstock. To finish it, I added a heart brad on the journaling and stamped some swirls in the corner (if you can see them).
I hope you liked this quick share. Since these shares are so quick, I may share two next week unless you like the short ones. Let me know in the comments which you would prefer.

Also, tomorrow my mom decided that she loved going to Lily Dale so much that we are going again. Yeah! I'm definitely going to the Sunflower Cafe again. Yummy! I'm sure I'll take a bunch of photos so I will share some tomorrow with my art journal pages.

As for school, it officially starts Monday but I don't have any physical classes until Friday. That class is a one time class for my internship. I do have another class that I thought was starting Monday but I realized today that it doesn't start until October. So I won't have any classes until then but I will have an internship still. Very nervous about this internship.

Well that's it for today. I'll be back with my book. I'm almost caught up with it. Just 4 more holidays and that's including one that is coming up very soon. Anyways, I'll be sharing two more pages from it tomorrow. TTFN Ta ta for now.

Early Halloween

Hey everyone. It's another Clay Update Wednesday and I have a few things to share today. I made some more things for a contest and some for the Halloween swap. I'll start with the contest charms.

The first charm I made is this Meeko cookie. Meeko is the raccoon from Pocahontas. The cookie is chocolate and I used TLS with white acrylic paint for the frosting. I painted on the facial features and the black in the ears.

The next charm I have is this cupcake of Abu, the monkey from Aladdin. Both the cupcake and the cookie look much better in real life. The cupcake has Abu's hat and tail. The liner is red since Abu wears a little red vest.

Now I'll move onto the the Halloween crafts I made. I have some clay pieces and then a none clay piece. I'm going to share only a hint of each just in case my partner in the swap sees this. I don't want to spoil the surprise.

This is the non-clay piece. Once the swap is all over I'll post more about this.

This is the clay pieces. You can see a little bit of the clay in this photo. The yellow background is actually the box I'm sending these in.
These are all the things I have to share with you today. Hope you enjoyed. Until next time, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Alphabet Pages

Hey everyone. It's Swap Update Tuesday and I have a couple swaps that I received and one that I made that I'll be sharing today. I'll start with the ones received.

The first swap is this Sally ATC. Sally is my favorite character from Nightmare Before Christmas and I love this ATC. It's so pretty and detailed. Love the ribbon as a frame.
The second swap I received was this Alphabet page. This for the letter W and my partner chose the theme of water. Love that she included a camel on the page. I love anything with a camel on it.
Now I will share the page that I made. I made the page for the letter V today and here it is.
For V, I chose Violet since my partners favorite color is purple. I made the background with tissue paper and then trimmed the page with washi tape. For embellishments, I took some white ribbon and purple ink and dyed the ribbon to make the flowers and bow. I made the V and the center of the bow using a thin purple ribbon. I also stamped the word "Violet" in the corner. Also, inside the flowers is purple glitter glue which you can't really see in this photo.
That's what I have to share this week. I hope you liked everything. I'll be back tomorrow with Clay Wednesday. Also, school starts on Monday and so far I'm thinking I only have one lecture course. The rest are online or internship. I'll talk more about school now on this blog since it will be a big part of my week now. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Card Challenge

Hey everyone. It's another OWH Monday and I have a couple of cards to share. Just like last week I made a card using this weeks sketch and I also created a card for the Midweek Throwdown using my own sketch. Also, since I'm still not feeling very well, I decided to do a challenge to make both cards using the same papers so I didn't have to keep getting up to get supplies. So I grabbed some cardstock I liked, grabbed my Bo Bunny stamps and made these cards. I'll start with OWH's sketch. This weeks sketch is Sketch #186.

For both of the cards, I used the brown, blue, black, and white cardstock just in different patterns. I used the "hi Friend" stamp from my Bo Bunny stamps (which makes this capable of being in the Midweek Throwndown too. I had to get up once to get my You've Got Mail by Lawn Fawn to stamp the postcard and stamp. I left the lines blank so that maybe the hero using this card can add something to the front too. The postcard is distressed with Tea Dye distress ink.
Now for the Midweek Throwdown. I created another sketch for you to use if you wish and I made my own card using the sketch. If you use this sketch, please share a a link of it in the comments so I can see it. Here's the sketch:

I thought it kinda looked like a jersey. I was inspired by Sandy, head of OWH when she said on last weeks OWHtv that she'd liked some really neat masculine cards. So here is my masculine friend card.

Again, I used black, brown, blue, and white cardstock, my Bo Bunny "hi Friend" stamp, and Tea Dye Distress Ink but I think these two cards still have different looks. The mats for the triangle and center band on the card are .25" bigger than the top pieces.
Those are the two cards I made for this week. I hope you liked them. I'll be back tomorrow with some swaps. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

President Appreciation

Hey everyone. Today is Mini Book Friday and I have a couple of pages from my holiday art journal. I'll start with my Valentine's Day page.

For my Valentine's Day page I covered the background with pink tissue paper and then painted over it with pink and red paint. I added some Recollection Valentine die cuts and also painted some chipboard photo corner pink. I also painted some hearts on the pages and also made a heart using glitter glue. I wrote a quote on the right page that reads "What a grand thing to be loved! What a grander thing still to LOVE!" When I was all done, added my date stamp for the day of the holiday.
Onto my second page:

These pages are to celebrate President's day. I painted the backgrounds with red, white, and blue acrylic paint. I then printed out silhouettes of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and cut them out. I traced around them and then painted them in with black paint. Lastly, I printed lines from the presidents most well know speech. For Washington, its his inauguration speech and for Lincoln its his Gettysburg Address. I also distressed the strips of paper with the lines on it with Vintage Photo distress ink.
Those are my two pages for this week. I hope you liked them. I'll try to make another post this weekend to make up for not having anything on Clay Wednesday. Until next time, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Cute Puppy Page

Hey everyone. It's another Scrapbook Thursday. I didn't post any clay pieces yesterday because I was really sick. I have been sick lately but yesterday was the worst. I woke up with a horrible headache so I just went back to sleep and slept the day away. Feeling a little bit better today but still have a headache. For this reason, I will be sharing an old page that I made. Here it is:

This is a page of one of the dogs that I had when I was little. Her name was Meg. She was a fluffy dog who was so adorable. My sister and I loved to dress her and the other two dogs up. She was the only one with fur long enough to put stuff in so we made a bow and put it in her hair. This is the photo. Beside Meg you can see Rocky, the first dog I ever had. He was a German/Australian Mix. It was a big change to go from always having big dogs like a German Shepherd and Labs to a teacup chihuahua which is what I have now. As for the page, I used Lawn Fawns Say Cheese stamp set for the polaroid stamp and the "picture perfect". All the patterned papers are DCWV. I spelled Meg's name with my Colorbok alphabets and I used some doggy stickers (I think they are EK Success) for the image in the circle. The journaling is on a K & Company tag and the Smile is a sticker. I also added blue ribbon across the bottom.
That's my page for this week. I'll be back tomorrow with some more pages from my art journal. Since I missed Clay Wednesday, I'm going to try to make something this weekend and may post them this weekend. TTFN Ta ta for now.

Smashy Swap and ATCs

Hey everyone. It's another Swap Update Tuesday and I have a few swaps to share. I'll start with the ATCs.

These three ATCs are for the next three swaps in the ABCs of Geometry series. They are Right Angle, Scalene Triangle, and Triangle.
The next swap I have to share is actually a Smashbook swap. The swap required participants to pick two of four prompts that were given to us and make two Smashpages. Here are the pages I made.

The first prompt I chose was to make a page about my dream summer job. My dream job is to be a zookeeper so that's what I made. I have a brochure from the Australian Zoo that someone so kindly gave me in a swap. To give this awesome brochure a home, I put a pocket on this page to put the brochure in. I can put more zoo things in this pocket if I go to any zoos or receive any zoo brochures from someone else.

The next prompt I chose is to make a Road Trip Playlist. So I looked through my IPod to find some songs that would be great road trip songs and created this page. I used some of my Colorbok alphabets and some Me & My Big Ideas journaling blocks.
These are all the swaps I have to share with you today. I hope you liked them. I will be back tomorrow with some clay pieces. TTFN Ta ta for now.

New OWH Card and More

Hey everyone. Welcome to a new OWH Monday. Today, I'm going to announce something new I'd like to start with my OWH Mondays. I'm still going to do the weekly sketches that OWH has but I'd also like to do the Midweek Throwdown so I'm going to start including both. I will do one card using the sketch and one using my own sketch for the Midweek Throwdown. As an added bonus, I will include the sketch I created for the card. Let's start with OWH's sketch. This weeks sketch is Sketch #185. Here's the card I made:

This weeks sketch card is a Christmas card. By the time I am finally able to send all my cards it will be about time to for Christmas cards so I'm going to start making Christmas cards. I used a couple of DCWV Christmas patterned paper for the bottom and the strip. I also used some red and white cardstock and I used some ink by a la mode to distress the sentiment.
Next I will share my card for the Midweek Throwdown. I used my own sketch for this card. It's kinda similar to OWH's but has some adjustments. Here's the sketch.

And here's the card.

This weeks Midweek Throwdown is to create a Fall card. I used Fall colors for my card. I used more OWH patterned paper for the bottom layer and then red, brown, and white cardstock for the other layers. I added three metallic brads for the side. Since the card was looking like a Santa suit, I punched out some leaves in Fall colors to go on the corners of the sentiment.
I hope you liked these two cards. If you make a card using my sketch, please leave a comment with a link to it below so I can see it. I'll be back with some swap updates tomorrow. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

More Holidays

Hey everyone and welcome to another Mini Book Friday. I have a couple more books from my art journal to share with you. It's two more holidays. Here ya go.

My first page for the day is my Martin Luther King Jr. Day page. I painted both pages blue and then put a picture of MLK Jr. on the second page and wrote his initials above his head. On the first page I cut out four squares from beige cardstock and distressed it with Vintage Photo distress ink. On each square is a the beginning letter to one word of "I Have A Dream" and next to each square is the rest of the word. Afterwards, I stamped little stars all over both pages and then stamped the bottom of the page with the date of the holiday.
The second page for the day is my Chinese New Year page. This is actually my least favorite page in my book so far. I  put a wheel on the first page that has a spinner that points to the animal that represents the current zodiac. It's pointed at the snake since this is the year of the snake. On the other page is a list of all the animals in order. The whole page just looks really sloppy to me so I'm not liking it too much except the wheel. The page also has a date stamp for the date of the holiday.
Those are the two pages I have for this weeks mini book day. I hope you liked them. I'll be back on Monday with another OWH card. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Foodie Charms

Hey everyone. It's another Clay Wednesday. I have a few charms to share. Unfortunately the photos are really blurry since my IPod doesn't take very good photos. I'll share them anyways.

The first charm I made is this macaron. It's an Alice in Wonderland inspired macaron. On the top of it is a clock and a dollop of frosting. The inside is pink.

This is a somewhat better view of the clock. This macaron was a fail so I will probably make another one someday.

I also made this cake. The inside is hot pink (sorry it looks red in the photo) and the "fondant" is black. I also used TLS mixed with white acrylic paint to make the frosting on the inside.

Lastly is this teapot that is Mouton from Sentimental Circus. He's the first piece for a contest I'm working on. He came out so cute. Love him! Sentimental Circus is one of my favorite kawaii characters (all of the circus) so I loved making this. Maybe I will make a whole tea set that is Sentimental Circus.
Those are all the pieces I made for today. I'll be back tomorrow with Scrapbook Thursday. Before I end the post for the day, I wanted to share two more photos. These are of my pets, Thyme and Kiely. Enjoy.

Thyme in a car seat.

TTFN Ta ta for now.

Tangling

Hey everyone. Welcome to another Swap Update Tuesday.I have a few swaps to share with you today. Some the pictures I have to share are for one swap I have been working on. I'll start with some of the smaller swaps.

First is this ATC. It's the second swap in the Nightmare Before Christmas series. The first was Jack Skellington and this one is Sally. I decided to make a pattern of her dress using cardstock and my black pen. I love how this turned out.

Next is this art journal page. This swap we had to make a page that highlights something that begins with a W. I chose to paper piece a witch. The background is suppose to look like the night sky with sparkly stars. I also added the W to the side.

The last swap I have to share is a Zentangle Journal that I have been working on. I have three of the five pages done so far. I'm going to try to finish it tomorrow so I can get it out this weekend. Here are the pages.

For this swap were are to make five pages that are nature themed. All the tangles are also suppose to start with an "A". I used four different tangles for this butterfly.

The next zentangle I made were these three flowers. I used the same four tangles for these flowers. These flowers have taken me the longest to make so far.

The third tangle I have made is this tree. I only used three tangles for this swap. The top of the tree got messed up a little but the trunk and the hole look really neat.
That's what I've made this week. I hope you have liked this weeks update. I'll be back tomorrow with some Clay charms. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Thanks Card

Hey everyone. I have another OWH card for you today. I used this weeks sketch which is Sketch #184. Here is my card:

For this card, I used green, pink, and brown cardstock and DCWV patterned paper. I also used a stamped image I received in a swap that I colored for the sentiment. The background is a very light green but it's kinda looking blue in this photo.
I hope you liked this card. I also used the Midweek Throwdown Challenge for this card too by using green, pink, and brown as the main colors. I hope you all liked this card. I'll be back with some swaps tomorrow. Until then, TTFN Ta ta for now.

Celebrating All Year Round

Hey everyone. It's another Mini Album Friday. I have something new to share with you today. It's not exactly new. It's something I have been working on all year but it will be new to you. I have been working on an art journal book that has a page for each holiday of the year. The book has about 22 pages in it and I made a list of every holiday I wanted to include. I'm so behind on this book (last holiday was President's Day) so I'm going to share it with you one page at a time (maybe more some weeks) so that I'll start working on it more and hopefully get it finished by the end of the year. I'll start with sharing the cover with you.

For the cover, I divided it into four sections, each representing a different season. I used some label stickers that I have had for forever. I also used some embossing powder (snowflakes), punches (Fall), doodles (Spring), and handmade cut outs (Summer). You can see some blue on the binding that has been collected over the pages I've made so far. The book I used is a $1.99 paper mache book I bought at Michaels.
Now for the first page of the book. It should be no surprise what the holiday is. Here it is:

The first page is celebrating New Years. On this page, I painted the background using various blue colors and then added some pink and yellow to streak in it. On the first page I just painted in the year in various colors. On the second page, I painted some swirls in blue and then inside the swirls I wrote my resolutions for the year. When I was all done, I stamped the date of the holiday (not the day I made the page).
That's it for today. I'll share another page from this book next week since I don't have any ink for Kiely's book or my Smashbook. I may through some of them in if I come up with ideas not requiring ink. Hope everyone has a great day. I'll be back on Monday with another OWH card. TTFN Ta ta for now.
